Our approach
We want you to buy the right machine, which is why we recommend based on your actual work and offer demonstrations and sample cuts before you commit. If something is not right, contact us at brendan@bkldistribution.ie or 086 452 8730 and we will put it right in line with your legal rights and the terms below.
Your right to cancel a distance order (cooling-off period)
If you order at a distance — online, by phone or by email — without meeting us in person, you have the right under the European Union (Consumer Information, Cancellation and Other Rights) Regulations 2013 to cancel within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason. To cancel, tell us in a clear statement by email or phone within that period. We will refund you within 14 days of the goods being returned to us.
Where goods are returned under this right for change of mind, they must be unused, in their original condition and packaging, and complete. You are responsible for the cost of returning them, and for any diminished value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish their nature and function.
Made-to-order and configured machines
Machines built or configured to your specification — for example a specific tube wattage, source combination or added options — are prepared to order once your deposit is received. Where a machine has been configured or built to your specification, the change-of-mind cooling-off right may not apply. This does not affect your rights if the goods are faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose.
Deposits
Orders are confirmed on receipt of a deposit, at which point we allocate or begin preparing your machine.

Faulty, damaged or incorrect goods
If your machine arrives damaged, develops a fault, is not as described or is not fit for its intended purpose, you are entitled to a remedy under the Sale of Goods and Supply of Services Acts and the Consumer Rights Act 2022. Contact us promptly and we will arrange a repair, replacement or refund as appropriate. Where goods are faulty or incorrect, we cover the cost of return and collection. Please report visible transit damage within a reasonable period of delivery so we can act quickly.
Consumables
For hygiene, safety and quality reasons, consumable items such as laser tubes, lenses and mirrors cannot be returned once opened or used, unless they are faulty. Unopened consumables may be returned within the cooling-off period in their original condition.

Email brendan@bkldistribution.ie or call 086 452 8730 with your order details and the reason. We will confirm the next steps, including where and how to return the goods where a return is due. Please do not return anything before contacting us, so we can arrange it properly — machines in particular need the correct handling and packaging.
Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under Irish and EU consumer law.
